Sparkling Albarino
Tasting notes
The Albarino grape is native in SPain where it is noted for its distinctive botanical aroma with a citrous undertone. Aromas of freshly cut, yellow grapefruit with hints of honeydew melon. Lively notes of grilled pineapple and lemon meringue give way to a remarkably creamy finish.
Production notes
Rava sparkling wines are crafted using time-honored méthode champenoise techniques. The cuvée, or base wine for this sparkler consists of 100% Albariño, which was barrel fermented in neutral American oak barrels. The cuvée, along with a mixture of sugar, yeast and nutrients, was bottled after an extended aging en tirage.
Other notes
Albariño originates from Spain and is exceptionally versatile with a wide range of foods, especially seafood. Try it with tapas such as ceviche or raw oysters. This wine is also outstanding with Italian dishes like chicken piccata or linguine with clam sauce.
