This lively Italian blend displays notes of crushed cherry and spiced plum complimented with dark cocoa powder. The flavors are red licorice and raspberry preserves, with bright acidity on the finish. The balance and structure of this wine ensure a long life.
The Calabrese and Barbera grapes were hand picked on the same day and co-fermented in small fermentation bins. To achieve maximum flavor and color extraction, the bins were punched down three times daily. When the fermentation reached dryness, the wine was pressed and transferred to French oak barrels where it aged for 3 years.
